As the needs of our clients change, we continue to explore options that offer additional ministry opportunities.
- 2006: New Name, New Location
Now known as Pregnancy Resource Center of Charlotte, the Center moved to a new facility on East 4th Street, strategically located between Presbyterian Hospital and Central Piedmont Community College.
- 2000: A Father’s Place begins
Expectant fathers are learning about the importance of their role at "A Father's Place." This mentoring group meets twice a month with volunteers who offer guidance and encouragement to young men who are often missing a father figure in their lives.
- 1999: Hispanic Program launched
Women in Charlotte's growing Hispanic community are receiving information, emotional support, and practical assistance in a way that is sensitive to language and cultural differences.
- 1996: Medical clinic opens
The clinic provides limited medical services, including ultrasound, to confirm pregnancy, facilitate early mother-child bonding and educate women on the importance of pre-natal care.
